Three-Ring Tote Pattern - coming soon!
The Three-Ring Tote from the July bag club shipment will soon be a pattern! The bag has gotten a lot of love from the bag club members and people who have seen it since the bag club reveal. I am not currently offering this design as finished bags in the shop (although some may be available in the future.) However, the pattern is simple, and it can be easily made by a beginner. I will offer the pattern as a PDF for instant download.
The bag is a wonderful tote and is easy to carry and easy to open. The wide base makes it very difficult to tip over. There is one pocket on the outside and two on the inside. I have used mine as a shopping bag when visiting the fabric and craft stores, as a miscellaneous tote bag, and as a knitting tote.
The outside pocket is a fantastic focal point for any type of creative expression. I used embroidery on the pocket for the July bag club. In the bag pictured here, I used a small piece of cherished Japanese fabric that has been in my collection since the 1990s! I love when my favorite fabrics find a perfect use. The simplicity of the tote really showcases the fabric.
The main fabric for this bag is a heavy linen I dyed myself. Because of the thickness of the fabric, I used the pocket fabric for the ring tabs. The bag is beautiful from all sides and very roomy on the inside.
I plan to release the pattern on September 1st and will announce its release and more details then.
ABOUT THE YARN: Ewe2Yarn is a current obsession of mine - Isn't it funny that the tote matches my project! I didn't even notice until I finished it. You can also follow Ewe2Yarn on Instagram. This is her BFL base that I am knitting into a Find Your Fade shawl by Andrea Mowry.
