Purse from vintage hat

One of the things I like to do is make purses from vintage hats.  This is one I made a few years ago and didn't love it at the time.  The hat is super quirky, and I had a different vision for it.  However, now I think it is pretty on trend.  The blue was already on the hat, and I added the pink as a nod to Elsa Schiaparelli.  I am not a lover of pink, but I think this pop of bright color could make an outfit.  The pink plastic flowers are also vintage and were a great find.  I wish I had more of them!  When I make the purses, the hats are left intact. The added part is hand sewn and can be removed and converted back to the original hat.
